“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Adam and Eve were created suddenly, supernaturally, and with the superficial appearance of age. Both husband and wife had summa cum laude minds. But most importantly they were in complete harmony with their Creator. Their wisdom IQ potential was incredible. God was not their adversary. He was their friend. The relationship had not been damaged by sin. But that changed in an instant in their rebellion against God. They were then suspicious of God. Their allegiance was to the devil. The change was in the spirit of their mind. The entire course of human history became one of war with God. Come now to the spirit of our age into which we were born. It is racing to the bottom in its defiance of the Creator (Rom. 1:18-32). The good news is that in our conversion to Jesus Christ we are regenerated. Our will and desires are supernaturally directed toward pleasing God. We are called to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. Old ways of thinking are to be put off. Our thinking becomes clarified by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. Are you training your mind toward the formation of likeness to Jesus Christ? Our minds have been mercy-ed by God. The thinking of this present age is societal moral suicide. To know and do God’s moral will is beautiful, pleasing to have obeyed Him, and totally sufficient for life and godliness. That’s the transformation that is to be sought and lived.
