Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Jonas Salk, Robert Oppenheimer. The Hall of Fame of inventors and great minds who have made breakthroughs in discoveries is a long list. But one name is noticeably missing, namely, the one who created the universe, has always understood all theories related to physics inside and out, knows everything about everything, but is conspicuous in His absence in the discussion of great minds is the Lord Jesus Christ. In recent years there has been an attempt to insert a “wedge” into biological sciences in order to get the attention of evolutionists. This “wedge” is known by the alias as ID or Intelligent Design. So great is the optimism of those in this movement that it is said that by 2025 naturalistic science will “have lost its hold on the popular and literary imagination.” (Darwin’s Meltdown, World 1913, April 3, 2004, 34-37). Hastening to the reality of biblical truth, Dr. John C. Whitcomb has insightfully said, “The tragedy of the ID movement, however, is that it stops short of honoring God’s written revelation, the Bible.” (Jesus Christ: Our Intelligent Designer, p. 13). Consider this from the resume of Jesus Christ: Our galaxy is only one of some hundred thousand million that can be seen using modern telescopes, each galaxy itself containing some hundred thousand million stars. The Intelligent Designer, Jesus Christ, knows every star by name (Psa. 147:4). By the way, by God’s grace He knows us through and through and loves us with an infinite love.
