“If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.” Revelation 13:10
November 6, 2023
Have you ever wondered how bad things can become morally, spiritually, and politically? The Voice of the Martyrs is a ministry to keep us abreast of developing persecution against Christians around the world. Sunday, November 5, was designated “International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians.” The Scriptures tell us that the worst is yet to come for followers of Jesus. There will arise in the Tribulation to come (Rev. 6-19) a leading political figure known as the Antichrist (Rev. 13). He will be Satan’s masterpiece for the deception of the nations. His kingdom will extend over all who dwell on the earth. In a time of heightened persecution, we are told that God is sovereign over the evil that comes upon the elect of God. The saints, believers in Jesus Christ, are to draw encouragement from the assurance of God’s justice. This is one of the most heartening truths stated in the book of Revelation. God does not take pleasure in evil, though He does use it for His good purposes, nor must we ever blame God for sin (the evil actions of others). Fellow followers of Jesus Christ, stay faithful in enduring for the glory of God. Don’t let the moral madness on display in our nation make you fearful and despairing.
