“By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” Hebrews 11:3

We are told, without any doubt, by evolutionists that our universe came about out of nothingness. Why is there something instead of nothing? Secular scientists would have us believe (get that word) the following: “By faith, I, an evolutionist, understand that the worlds were not framed by the word of any god, so that what is seen has indeed been made out of previously existing and less complex things, by purely natural processes, through billions of years” (The Early Earth, Dr. John C. Whitcomb). The truth is that a lot of so-called faith in a weak ladder will get you hurt. God-focused faith is the cornerstone of the believer’s world and life view. “By faith (not by empirical observation) we understand that the universe (of space and time) was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible” (Dr. John C. Whitcomb). What does this really matter (no pun intended)? We are to live by faith in what God has revealed in His Word. This means swimming upstream against the current of self-worship in our day. Faith is a very practical thing. It is useful. It enables us to live the way God wants us to live. It makes it possible for us to endure joyfully hardships, mockery, pain and suffering.

God, our Creator, wants us to worship Him His way as Abel did (Heb. 11:4), and to expose the unbelief of the world as Noah did (Heb. 11:7).
