Let’s get our theology right. Jesus was exalted not to achieve any higher status within the Trinity. His nature was not improved upon nor did He achieve an eternal place within the Triune Godhead. Jesus was exalted by God the Father to His session in heaven. The resurrection of Jesus, His ascension, and glorification was the exaltation, or super exalted, if you will. He was restored to the glory that He had with His Father in heaven. Jesus was rewarded as a man. The God-man was granted the title of Lord. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for those who are His. All this to say that time is marching relentlessly on toward the final act in the drama of God’s plan of redemption. Every human being and every spirit being has a rendezvous with Jesus Christ. Will your knee have bowed to Him as your Savior or will it be the bowed knee for eternal judgment?
