The hawk is an amazing bird. As a bird of prey its eyesight is up to 8 times sharper than human vision. Such sight allows the hawk to spot a mouse from 100 feet up. They can dive at speeds up to 150 mph. The Red-tailed Hawk has tetrachromatic vision allowing it to see fluorescent urine trails left by mice. God reminds Job of the migratory capability of the hawk, with its built in GPS. Christian, learn from the hawk, “The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eye” (Psa. 19:8). Hawkeye was the quintessential frontiersman in James Fenimore Cooper’s stories. Christ’s followers are to be Hawkeyes. How good are you at discerning good from evil? To hate evil is to know it when you see it. Anti-God people would have you think you are a hater if you see and love the good God has ordained. Is your spiritual vision getting better?
