All Praise to God

“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!” Romans 11:33

Where does one begin in knowing how to praise God? Romans 1-11 is a comprehensive account of the gospel. As someone has said, it is “like a traveler who has reached the summit of an Alpine ascent.” Paul falls down before God and worships (11:33-36). Recommended: Memorize these verses and repeat them often. How can God use human disobedience? Israel’s disobedience leads to the magnification of God. Like the cascade of a mighty torrent that rushes to a thunderous water fall, majestic and awe inspiring, theology has turned to doxology. God is to be praised for the richness of His mercy. Think of the way God has revealed His mercy throughout human history. He has shown mercy to the Gentiles. Because of God’s mercy there is a future for Israel. Praise God for His infinite wisdom. God’s wisdom guarantees the best possible outcome of His decisions. Why does God sue the evil of men? His use of pain and suffering, death, sickness, cancer, disappointments leave us overwhelmed with our jaw-dropping inability to grasp the depths of how God carries out His decrees. Our finite intellects should be humbled.
