“What the wicked dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous is established forever.” Proverbs 10:24-25

There is a way God wants His people to live in this world. The wicked ignore it to their peril. Proverbs has a unique place at the table of biblical truth. It was written to put the fine point on God’s moral law. Like keys on a piano, proverbs are to be played in harmony with one another. If you want order, simplicity, and God-glorifying satisfaction in life, then make God’s wisdom a priority in your life.
Wisdom tells us that those who live without God will make their fears come true. The wicked (91 times in Proverbs), think nothing of violating the rights of others. They don’t know how to handle reality because God’s wisdom is banished from their thoughts. When the dangers of life come knocking at their door, their fears come true. The righteous want God and what He offers. Those who live only by their appetites will leave a monument of their folly. The Message says it this way: “When the storm is over, there’s nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren’t even fazed.”
Are you prepared for disappointments, sickness, grief, and death?

“O God of all wisdom, keep me from building sand castles in the sky and attempting to live in them. I want to be ready for your righteous judgment.”
