Moral Power

“For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge.” 2 Peter 1:5

The first readers of Peter’s second letter wer by moral, spiritual, and theological dangers. Today evangelicalism has been emptied of its theology and replaced with the self-movement. The fad is to think that we can find truth in ourselves, in our different religious systems. The hammer of God’s truth comes down on fake Christianity. Faith in Jesus Christ demands determination to demonstrate the moral power of courage to overcome the enemies of the gospel. The excellence of Spirit-produced goodness of life is written on the shield of faith. Toughness of soul that does not break over failure and frustrations. That what’s needed. Do you own this kind of power that is trustworthy, sacrificial, kind, patient, merciful, and loving? Don’t forget “make every effort” to excel in living to the limit the capacities that God has given you, in your work, daily routines, relationships, and resilience.
