“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” Revelation 22:17
June 12, 2024
After all the smoke, judgments, promises and prophecies, the Book of Revelation ends with an invitation to enter into the delight of spending eternity with Jesus. The first “come” is inviting Christ’s return. The second “come” is the final invitation of the Bible which is an invitation to come to Christ. This requires an RSVP- “please answer.” The day will arrive when it is too late to come. Those who spend eternity in the lake of fire will do so because they refused to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The offer is one of grace and salvation to all who desire to have their spiritual thirst slaked. A popular book has appeared recently entitled, The End of Everything, how wars descend into annihilation. Our own civilization may or may not endure much longer. We have no guarantee that it will. But one thing remains sure, the gospel is the water of life. May God use us who are His to carry the water of eternal life before time runs out for those who are living without hope.

“O Precious Savior, how generous you are in offering salvation as a free gift knowing that it cannot be earned. Nor does anyone deserve it.”
