Are we losing our nation? Why is the doctor concerned about my recent blood work? What if I get Alzheimer’s and die unable to recognize the people I love? The following biblical medicine is recommended for worry. Worry is a symptom of a theology of unbelief. It reveals the degree to which I do not believe that God is justly and lovingly sovereign over all of life. Worry is the opposite of contentment in that it refuses to live by the creed that God owns everything, controls everything and provides everything. Worry is evidenced by excessive attention to physical needs; food, drink, and clothing. Worry is being distracted from the really important things in life.”The little worries that infest my mind scratch around like mice in an attic.” Do I make it a practice to talk to God about the things that make me doubt Him and make me gloomy?

Reflection:
Am I often moody and sad? What are my thoughts when this describes me?
If I’ve forgotten God, who or what has started to rule in His place?
Thought: “Fears may be liars; they often are.”
