The Cross Before The Crown

“if we are faithless, he remains faithful- for he cannot deny himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13

Can a Christian ever be faithless? A true Christian is one who has placed His trust in Christ alone. That cannot be canceled. Can a Christian falter in their faith? The winds of suffering can blow hard against those who have confessed Christ. Sadly, there will be times when we stumble and allow suffering and disappointment to knock us down, stop attending church, lay our Bibles aside, and in certain ways live like a nonChristian. Maybe it was a tragedy, the pursuit of false teaching, an unanswered prayer, a Christian who hurt us deeply. There is a price to pay for faithless living; the shame of Christ’s disapproval, loss of rewards, wasted opportunities to bring honor to Christ and serve Him. If you find yourself in this condition, repent and return to your obedience to Christ and love for Him. Remember, lack of faith in the Christian life does not render God unfaithful to us.
