God came to this earth to live in human flesh. Jesus Christ is the “radiance of His glory.” In this superlative of the Son of God, it is declared that Jesus Christ possesses all the divine attributes. He is the same essence, essential nature, of God the Father. Think of it this way. The moon reflects the sun. The sun radiates light because it is its source. To make Jesus Christ less than full deity is to deny who He really is. Jesus does not simply reflect God’s glory. He is part of it! If someone knocks on your door and wants to convince you that Jesus was something like a super angel, a being created by God, don’t allow that to go unchallenged. Think of the Mount of Transfiguration (Mk. 9:3) and the One who blinded Paul on the Damascus road (Acts 9:3; 22:6). Do you want to experience God? Get to know Jesus Christ. Reflect His glory by thinking about Him and relating His words to all that you do.
