The Glory of a Woman

“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30

Our culture would have women define themselves in terms of career, fashion, physical shape, size, weight, hair, sexuality, and more so now, a woman who has the right to do with her body as she pleases. How does God want a woman to think about herself? The book of Proverbs is rich in “womanology.” A woman who fears the Lord trustfully submits to God’s authority. For best results, such an issue must be resolved early on in a woman’s life. The sooner the better. Such fear is not cowering servility. It is being enthralled by the infinite perfections of God – His majesty, integrity, mercy, justice and loyal-love. A God-fearing woman thinks and conducts her life in the presence of God whom she worships and serves out of love. To live in awe of God is a security like no other. Ladies, don’t fight against God. Inner beauty is that for which you should aspire. It does not come in lotions, make-up, surgeries, or jewelry. That woman you see in the mirror is to adorn herself with the attractiveness of the radiance of Jesus Christ.
