The key to world history is the nation of Israel. Israel is the key to world-wide blessing. Do these statements startle you? You say, but what about the Lord Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on the cross? What about the hope of the Second Coming of Christ and His kingdom on this earth. We Gentile believers were grafted into the olive tree of worldwide blessing. Israel’s Messiah and the Savior of the world is the shared blessing of a redeemed Israel and the church of Jesus Christ. If you are following the six truths from the olive tree, note this: (5) The Olive Tree gladdens us with the prospect that Israel’s present state of unbelief and Gentile belief is not permanent. The national promises to Israel have not been cancelled and taken over by the church. (6) The Olive Tree calls us to take the gospel to the wild olive branches and the natural olive tree branches, unsaved Gentiles and Jews. Thank God for His infinite grace and mercy. There is a wonderful future awaiting a born-again Israel and Gentile Christians sharing in magnificent blessings.
