Do you ever fret thinking that God could be overlooking your problems and needs? Jesus told His disciples that not even a sparrow drops from the sky apart from the will of God. Now that is what we would say is attention to details. Sparrows in the biblical world were used for food by the very poor. Two sparrows could be sold for about a day’s wage. God’s sovereignty over all small things should lead us to confidence and comfort that He has His hands on all the details of our lives. He is aware of small things in the bird world, is He not mindful of bigger things? Don’t let the results of that MRI haunt you. We are of infinite value to God. That new born baby in ER is important to God. Those medical bills that exceed our insurance pay out have God’s full attention. The loving rule of God over the circumstances of our lives is a precious and comforting part of what it means to know God.
