Our homes are to be a place where Christ is reflected in hundreds of ways. We have further words for young women. Counter-cultural living is what is needed. What does a sensible/self-controlled woman look like? She has her priorities straight. God is to be at the center of everything. She is not ruled by her feelings. Anger does not jerk her around. She is not easily offended. She is not distracted by inconsequential things. She knows the value of time. A Christian worldview governs her thinking. Call it a theological mind if you will. Such a mind and life resists living on the fringes of church life, refuses to miss the richness of congregational worship. We desperately need strong, Bible-minded young women who are reflecting the beauty of Jesus Christ. Let’s pray for the daughters and granddaughters in our churches that the world will not woo them into the wastelands of self-obsessed living.
