The Way of the Fool, Pt. 2

“Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge.“ Proverbs 14:7

Woe to that nation that breeds increasing numbers of those who mock God’s moral law. Proverbs was written to put fine points on the Ten Commandments. The fool must be dealt with wisely. Sometimes they must be confronted (26:4-5) and sometimes they must be avoided. Don’t be afraid to call out those who can’t give the definition of a woman and think male athletes should compete against female athletes.
The fool does not know how to control his tongue (Prov. 18:7, “a fool’s mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul.”). The internet is a fool’s playground for saying whatever one wants to say with no accountability.
The fool is arrogant in his outlook on moral wrong (Prov. 28:26, “Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.). Watch out for those who are head-strong and do what they like. Mockery is a favorite weapon of those who oppose the truth. Fools rejoice in the assassination of Christians who speak wisdom on the college campus.
