If you want to see the suburbs of hell, pay attention to the approval being given to the evil perpetuated by the Hamas attack of Israel on October 7, 2023. The purpose of those horrors was to kill as many Jews as possible. The cast of characters in Revelation 12 tells the story of the last wave of anti-semitism in the day of the Lord yet to come. The woman clothed with the sun represents Israel. The red dragon with seven heads and ten horns represents Satan. The male child represents Christ. The offspring of the woman is persecuted by the dragon. Among the devil’s hatreds is the anti-semitism being displayed on the streets in New York City.
The conflict of the ages is an invisible war in which Satan is seeking to establish an enduring kingdom. He hates God and will attempt to keep God from fulfilling His covenant with Israel and the accomplishment of His redemptive purposes. Anti-semitism, hatred of the Jew, is ultimately hatred of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to earth in order to destroy the works of the devil (1 Jn. 3:8). There is a silver lining around the clouds of evil descending upon our nation. It is the hope that is found in the Israel’s Messiah and the Savior of the world who is coming back to establish His kingdom and ultimately to lead all those who belong to Christ into the new heavens and the new earth.
